Annette Franks, M.Ed., LPC is a Certified Gestalt Psychotherapist and Licensed Professional Counselor licensed by the State of Ohio Counselor and Social Worker Board. She has over 30 years counseling experience working with individuals, couples and families.
 Annette has a Private Practice in Columbus, Ohio and is on Faculty at The Gestalt Institute of Central Ohio and The Addiction Studies Institute at The Ohio State University Department of Addiction Medicine - Talbot Hall. She conducts Relationship Workshops, Empowerment Seminars, Motivational Speaking Engagements, and Counselor and Corporate Training Programs throughout the United States and Canada. Annette was a Presenter for the 2005 Hazelden Women Healing Conferences presented Internationally by the Hazelden Foundation.
Annette has been the featured guest on numerous TV talk shows and is a Keynote Speaker among Corporate America, including Fortune 500 Companies. She has an extensive background in the fields of Psychology, Energy Medicine, Holistic Health Care Modalities and Addiction. Annette served on the Advisory Board of Directors for The Institute of Addiction Studies at The Ohio State University Department of Addiction Medicine for over 15 years.
Annette served as the President of the Executive Board of Directors for the Gestalt Institute of Central Ohio, a three-year intensive Gestalt Psychotherapy Training Program for Master and Doctorate Level Practitioners. She has a passion for life and for learning and it shows in all her workshops and seminars.
Annette currently leads week long Life Enrichment Retreats open to the public on
"Balancing Body, Mind & Spirit" at Pura Vida Spa in Costa Rica and in the past at Maya Tulum Resort in Mexico. The Life Enrichment Retreats utilize Annette's Extensive Background in the Fields of Psychology and Energy Medicine and Mind-Body Health Practices including evidence-based Medical Qigong and Tai Chi Practices. Annette is a Certified Tai Chi Teacher and a Certified Qigong Teacher from the Institute of Integral Qigong and Tai Chi (IIQTC). She is also Certified as an Integral Energetics Practitioner from the IIQTC in Santa Barbara, California.
